Gladys (Klodzinski) Skwarcan

Gladys (Klodzinski) Skwarcan, 97, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025. She was born on May 24, 1928 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Adam and Stella (Kujawa) Klodzinski. On May 7, 1949 she married Daniel Skwarcan at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1991. Gladys was also preceded in death by one son, Daniel Skwarcan, Jr., one sister, Gertrude Hobbs, five brothers, Leo, John, Harry, Philip, and Joseph Klodzinski. She is survived by one daughter, Margaret “Margie” (Michael) Zemlyak of Goshen, Indiana, three sons, Lawrence “Larry” (Linda) Skwarcan of Niles, Michigan, Thomas (Arnie) Skwarcan of Mishawaka, Indiana, Ronald (Debra) Skwarcan of South Bend, Indiana, one daughter-in-law, Amanda Skwarcan, eight grandchildren, Dean (Angie) Skwarcan, Kristopher (Rene) Zemlyak, Kristina Zemlyak, Dorian Skwarcan, Jacob Skwarcan, Stacie Skwarcan, Kelly Skwarcan, Natalie Skwarcan and three great grandchildren, Anna Skwarcan, Beatrice Skwarcan and Clementine Skwarcan.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on August 14 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Glady’s honor.
