Frank Kelly Reilly, 85, of Notre Dame, Indiana and Orlando Florida passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Frank was born on December 30, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Clarence and Mary Jo (Ruckrigel) Reilly. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1957, served as Dean of the Mendoza School of Business (1981-1987), and retired as a Professor from the University of Notre Dame in 2015. Previously he was affiliated with University of Illinois, University of Wyoming, and University of Kansas.
On August 2, 1958, in Our Lady of Peace Church in Chicago, Illinois he married Therese Bourke, who preceded him in death on November 27, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Celeste, and two sisters, Patricia Moran and JoAnn Conners. Frank is survived by his daughter, Therese Bourke (Denise Zoeterman) Reilly of Grand Rapids, Michigan; three sons, Frank K. (Charlotte) Reilly, III of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Clarence R. (Michelle) Reilly, II of O’Fallon, Illinois and Edgar Bourke (Lisa) Reilly of Orlando, Florida; and seven grandchildren, Lauren, Kayleigh, Madison, Sophie, Francesca, Cara and Alessandra Reilly. Frank served in the United States Army Reserves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday October 8, 2021 in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Private burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday October 7 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
