Evelyn A. Harman, 93, of Mishawaka, passed away on Thursday October 18, 2018 at Creekside Village, Mishawaka. She was born on February 17, 1925, in Logansport, IN, to the late Ross L. and Mabel Amelia (Gill) Kuszmaul. On October 18, 1942, she married Kenneth J. Gibson, who preceded her in death on January 22, 1959. She later married Fred E. Harman on December 7, 1962 and was preceded in death by him on March 1, 2008 and by her daughter, Karen Gibson Spaulding on October 21, 2014. Evelyn is survived by a daughter Linda (Nick) Falleta of Granger, IN; a step-daughter, Barbara (Bob) Davis of South Bend; a step-son, Jim (Cathy) Harman of South Bend; son-in-law, Dick Spaulding; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and by a brother, Edward Kuszmaul of Greenwood, IN. She was also preceded in death by a two brothers, Frederick T. and Charles E. Kuszmaul. Evelyn worked as a secretary at Superior Business Forms, Inc. for over 20 years, before retiring in 1969. She was a 1943 Logansport High School graduate, a member of Holy Trinity Church since 1945, attended Business College for several years in Logansport and was a member of the American Businesswomen's Association of South Bend. Evelyn loved to cook, nurture others and was a wonderful loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid baseball and basketball fan and her favorite team was the Chicago White Sox. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. Monday October 22, 2018 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, where services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the Creekside Village, 1420 E.
