Ernest B. Wynn

Ernest B. Wynn, 94, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Hamilton Grove in New Carlisle, Indiana. He was born on March 26, 1928 in South Bend to the late Sylvester and Louise (Kendziora) Wynn. On November 25, 1950 he married Margaret Soleta who survives. Ernest is also survived by four daughters, Michelle (Mark) Toothman of LaPorte, Indiana, Anne (Morris) Newsome of South Bend, Indiana, Judy (David) Gardner of Brazil, Indiana, Jennifer (Greg) Heslin of Springfield, Missouri, one son, John (Carol) Wynn of Portland, Oregon, twelve grandchildren, Chantell, Samantha, Kristina, Victoria, Nicole, Alexis, Christian, Siobhan, Brady, John, Amanda, Jessica and Brandan, fifteen great grandchildren, Abigail, Phoenix, Sawyer, Garrett, Hallie, Tony, Brady, Journey, Elliot, Noelle, Owen, Allen, Charlie, Anthony and Aiden and one sister Mary Ann Kendziora. Ernest was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dolores and Dorothy.

Ernest was a big Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 am in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2822 Corpus Christi Dr. South Bend, IN 46628. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in Ernest’s honor.
