Edward Dunne Obituary

Edward Joseph Dunne, 72, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 tragically in an automobile accident. He was born on May 20, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edward F. Dunne and Mary (Flynn) Schumann. Edward was also preceded in death by one brother, James Dunne and his step father Geroge Schumann. He is survived by three sisters, Kathleen Marin of New Buffalo, Michigan, Mary McCracken of LaPorte, Indiana, Marlene Harville of Pontotoc, Mississippi, three brothers, Dennis R. (Joanne) Dunne of Morgan Hill, California, Daniel (Julie) Dunne of San Jose, California, Mark Schumann of Monee, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edward attended Chicago Vocational School. He served honorably in the United States Air Force. Edward was a devout Catholic. He was a master carpenter who specialized in cabinets and stair making.

Edward will be buried at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. A Celebration of his Life will be held during the Summer in 2026.
