Dorthy E. Morrie

Dorthy E. Morrie, 87, of Hudson Lake, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.  She was born on March 7, 1934 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Harold and Mable (Woodard) Barker, the family moved to Hudson Lake when Dorthy was a child.  On June 19, 1953 she married Alfred E. Morrie who preceded her in death on June 13, 2013. Dorthy was also preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Wetzel, two brothers, Bill and Bob Barker, and Son-in-Law Ron Avery.  Dorthy is survived by two daughters, Julie (Tom) Rager of South Bend, Indiana, Maurine Avery (Paul Riddle) of South Bend, Indiana, one son, Brad E. (Debbie) Morrie of New Carlisle, Indiana, eight grandchildren, Jason (Mindie) Colanese, Jessica Colanese, Tom (Tina) Rager, John Rager, Troy (Paula) Sigle, Kim Avery, Marc (Kelly) Mrozinski, Andy (Teresa) Mrozinski, Twenty great-grandchildren, Evan, Hailee, Kelsey, Ethan, Johnathan, Allie, Carlee, Koen, Avery, Daniel, Kristen, Tommy, Austin, Jordan, Aaron, Jacob, Emily, Wes, Colleen, Levi and four great-great grandchildren.  Dorthy loved golfing, watching sports on TV and crafts.  She also loved spending time in her flower garden and she found the most joy in life with her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of the Community Church of New Carlisle. Private family services will be held.
