Diana L. Easter Butzin Carper

Diana L. Easter Butzin Carper, 72, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 3:22 a.m. Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, following an illness.

She was born on July 26, 1952 to William and Violet (Higginbothan) Easter in Marion, IN, and has lived in South Bend, IN since 2014, coming from Michigan City, IN.  Along with her father; she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell “Rusty” Easter.

Diana retired from Peru Nursing Home in Peru, IN, where she worked as a Nursing Home Administrator, and other nursing homes for a combined total of 28 years.

Diana is survived by her mother, Violet Easter of Marion, IN; her daughter, Tammy Easter-Cole of Peru, IN; three grandchildren, Camron “Tayler” Yoder of Peru, IN; Ryan and Noah Cole, both of Tipton, IN; two great grandchildren, Wyatt Morris and Emersyn Reed, both of Peru, IN; and three brothers, Carl (Cindy) Easter, Richard (Shelly) Easter, and Wayne (Kim) Easter, all of Marion, IN.

Diana enjoyed fishing, and watching NASCAR and college football games. 

Per Diana’s request, there will be no visitation or services.
