Dennis Ray Jose, 71, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at his residence.
He was born on September 23, 1953 to the late Chester LeRoy and Frances Jeanette (Tulloch) Jose in Midland, MI, and has lived in New Carlisle, IN since 2001. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Jose; and a nephew, Ted Jose.
Dennis received an Associates Degree from Delta College in Michigan and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was currently employed at Cleveland Cliffs in Burns Harbor, IN, where he worked as a Screens Operator for 30 years.
On October 25, 1986, he married Rebecca “Becky” Runnels in Gaylord, MI. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Becky Runnels-Jose of New Carlisle, IN; a stepson, Jonathan C. Graeber of New Carlisle, IN; two brothers, David (Cheryl) Jose of Gaylord, MI; Chester Jose of Midland, MI; a sister-in-law, Ruth Jose of Gaylord, MI; and many loving nieces & nephews.
Dennis was a life member of the American Legion Post 297 in New Carlisle, IN. He enjoyed reading, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and loved his two yorkie dogs, Baby and Little Bit. He was an avid skier and instructor in his earlier years.
There will be no visitation or funeral services.
