Delores Irene Zobrosky

Delores (Del) peacefully passed away Wednesday evening. She was preceded in death by her husband Lou of 67 years. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Leo Wozniak, Harriet Graf, Rose Kozak, Jane Miller, Tom Wozniak and Louise Molnar. Del is survived by her children Jeff ( Cindy) Zobrosky, Catherine (John) Staton, Michael (Kim) Zobrosky, and David (Veronica) Zobrosky, as well as countless nieces and nephews from her extended family who she often treated as her own.

Del and Lou have ten Grandchildren, Joey (Dan) Trimberger, Justin (Heather) Zobrosky, Shannon Mariscal, John (Karen) Staton, Chad Staton, Ashley (Andy) Bailey, Nicole (Anthony) Orozco, Jordan Zobrosky, Taylor Alexander, and Sidney Zobrosky. They also have nineteen Great Grand Children and five Great-Great Grandchildren.

Del was born and raised in South Bend by Polish Immigrants, Harriet and Leo Wozniak. She graduated from South Bend Central in 1951. Del and Lou were married on June 20th, 1953. After moving around to different parts of the country while Lou was in the Airforce, they returned to South Bend to start their family together.

After retirement, Del and Lou enjoyed spending their time traveling with friends and family all over the country. They were both known for making many memorable stories throughout their lives together. At last, they are back together once again.

Del and Lou’s love, affection, and dedication to each other, family and friends set the bar very high for all of us.

Del will be missed by all and forgotten by none. God rest your soul - Our Sweet Angel.

A visitation for Del will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A Catholic funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. She will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Del’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
