Christine M. Mihail

Christine M. Mihail, 61, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday May 29, 2025 in her home.  She was born on November 11, 1963, in South Bend, to the late Francis L. and Janice M. (Howard) Allsop.  On May 2, 1987, she married Andrew Mihail, who survives.  Also surviving are her sister, Kimberly Allsop of South Bend, her step-father, Douglas Daugherty and several cousins and extended family.  Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Bradley F. Allsop.  Christine graduated from John Adams High School and Bethel University with a BA.  She worked as a School Teacher and Fitness Instructor.  Christine was a Parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.  She also volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister at Memorial Hospital and was a member of the MBA.  Christine was also a great caregiver to her mother and grandmother.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 3, 2025 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1050 Wilbur St., South Bend, where friends may visit for one hour prior to the Mass.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1050 Wilbur St., South Bend, IN  46628.  To send online condolences, please visit http://www.kaniewski.com.
