Cheryl A. (Pietsch) Pugh

Cheryl A. Pugh, 66, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2025 in the Ernestine M. Raclin House, at the Center for Hospice Care in Mishawaka, IN.

She was born on September 5, 1958, to the late Eugene E. Sr. and Charlene R. (Deranek) Christensen in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident of New Carlisle, IN.

Cheryl graduated in 1977 from New Prairie High School in New Carlisle, IN.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Heather M. McGinnis of New Carlisle, IN; her brother, Eugene E. Pietsch Jr. of New Carlisle, IN; and two nephews, Eugene E. III(Amanda) Pietsch of Mishawaka, IN; and Justin T. (Amanda) Pietsch of Plant City, FL.

Cheryl enjoyed watching the birds gather around the bird feeders that were outside in the front yard, playing games on Pogo, reading, catching up with friends on the phone when she could, and spending time with her family. 

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.  A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made out to Kaniewski Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
