Charles "Charlie" William Stewart

Charles “Charlie” William Stewart, 84, 0f South Bend, Indiana passed away at 12:10 P.M. Friday, Mach 1, 2019 in Miller’s Merry Manor, New Carlisle. Charlie was born on April 6, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Charles and Ella (Tierney) Stewart. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Blend and Ruth Huerta. He is survived by his sister Ella “Ricky” Hoeh and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Charlie was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and kept score of each game. He was much loved by his sister Ricky and their cats and dogs. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed eating out, watching movies and doing jigsaw puzzles. A memorial service will be held at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Indiana on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. E.S.T. in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s hospital.
