Charles William Fitzpatrick

Charles William Fitzpatrick, 54, of South Bend, passed away on Saturday May 19, 2018 in his home.  He was born on January 22, 1964, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late James, Sr. and Thelma (Dwertman) Fitzpatrick.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Fitzpatrick, Jr.  On December 26, 1998 he married Kathy Barnette, who survives.  Also surviving are his four sisters, Joyce (PauL) Fortman of OH, Jenny (John)  Byszewski of CA, Mary Lou (Ken) McDonald of FL and Teresa Elston of South Bend; two brothers, Thomas (Cindy) Fitzpatrick of OH and Robert (Linda) Fitzpatrick of South Bend; two step sons, Leslie "Les" Hatfield of South Bend and Buck Lee Hatfield of Wheatfield, IN; seven step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Charles was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, a member of the Izaak Walton League and loved motorcycles and animals.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday May 27, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 SR 933, South Bend, where friends may visit for one hour prior to the Mass.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge, 4626 Burnett Dr., South Bend, IN  46614.  To send online condolences, please visit www.kaniewski.com.
