Cecilia E. Nowak

Cecilia E. Nowak, 97, of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, formerly of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 11:58 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Island City Assisted Living, Eaton Rapids, Michigan.  Cecilia was born on October 30, 1923 in LaPorte, Indiana to Michael and Harriet (Mrocz) Fabrowicz.  On June 24, 1944 in Newport News, West Virginia she married Thaddeus Nowak, who preceded her in death on October 23, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Martha May, Leo Fabrowicz, Raymond Fabrowicz, and Casimer Fabrowicz.   Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Christine (Jeff) Conner of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; her grandson, Ian Conner of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; and her nieces and nephews, June Forrester, Richard Fabrowicz, James (Andrea) Fabrowicz, Carol (Mike) Mayer, Eugene Way, Connie Quinn, James Way, Sue (Jay) Hayes, Mary  Kilcullen, Richard  (Tina) Way and Adrian Way.  A Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where a rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Elara Caring Hospice.
