Carolyn June (Bonner) Deckard

Our dear mother Carolyn “Bonner” Deckard went to be with the Lord on August 4th at the age of 95.  Mom was a wonderful mother who loved the Lord and loved others.  Mom’s caring spirit offered support, prayer, wisdom, and love in abundance to all.  Her dedication to her family and to others made the world a brighter place.   Mom was born July 27th, 1929, in South Bend Indiana.  She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Adeline (Marshall) Bare, her husband Bob F. Bonner (married 45yrs), her brother George W. Bare and her granddaughter Stacey J. Bonner.  Surviving, husband John Deckard (married 7yrs), children Bob M. (Melba) Bonner, Scott (Nancy) Bonner; grandchildren Paula (Keith) Prater, Jason Bonner, Andrew (Brennen) Bonner, great-grandchildren Cassidy Prater, Lucas Prater and Jameson Bonner.  The celebration of life service will be held Monday August 12th at Calvary Church, 3001 W. Cleveland Rd, South Bend IN, 46628.  Visitation 10 to 11.  Service 11 to 12.  Graveside at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles MI, following service.  In lieu of flowers, donation of your favorite charity is welcomed.
