Carl N. Walker

Carl N. Walker, 83, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022, following an illness.  

He was born on July 21, 1938 to the late Norbert and Sarah (Erickson) Walker in Pittsburgh, PA, and has lived in Mishawaka since 2011, coming from Pittsburgh.  Along with his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his four brothers, Ronald, Kenneth, Russell, and Raymond; his sister, Susan Walker; and his beloved niece, Rhonda Walker Masters. 

On September 23, 1961, he married Marlynne Linhart in Pittsburgh, PA.  Carl is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marlynne Walker of Mishawaka, IN; two nieces, Emily Walker and Teresa Walker; one nephew, Timothy Linhart; a great niece, Kaitlin Masters; a great nephew, Austin Masters; and a great- great niece, Ellis Masters.  

Carl retired in 1992 from National Steel Corporation in Portage, IN, after 31 years of service.  Upon retiring he and his wife returned to their city of birth, Pittsburgh, PA.  There they enjoyed the company of their Pittsburgh family and dear friends in Pittsburgh.  After 20 years, they moved back to Mishawaka, IN.  Carl had a great wit and he loved a good party and get-together with family and friends.  He was an avid reader and many times had three books going at the same time.   

Per Carl’s request, there will be no visitation or services.
