Carey Branstetter-Warren

Carey Branstetter-Warren, 51 of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born on October 27, 1969 to Willis Branstetter and Betty Groppe, both of whom preceded her in death.

On November 25, 2017, Carey married the love of her life, Stephen Warren, who preceded her in death on December 23, 2017.

Carey is survived by her children, Mika Warren and Anthony Tibbitts-Warren; Grandson, Stephen Rife; Brothers, Thomas Branstetter (Kathryn), Jeff Branstetter (Sarah Campbell), Stephen Groppe (Kelly) and Stepfather, Jim Gardner. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her Brother, Todd Branstetter and her Stepmother, Sandy Branstetter.

Carey began working at the Medical Foundation in 2005. She worked with hospital services and then specialty labs where she made her mark as fast, efficient, and caring. She was loved by her patients, clients and co-workers. Her greatest joy in life was caring for others. Carey tirelessly served as a caregiver to many people throughout her lifetime. She fought with strength and grace for a year and a half with pancreatic cancer. She was nothing short of amazing for her courage and dignity she maintained throughout her fight.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bilal Ansari for his compassion and care for Carey, as well as her nurses, friends, and The Center for Hospice Care visiting nurses.

A visitation will take place from 10am to 11am on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive with services to follow at 11am.
