Brian Alexander Martin

Brian Alexander Martin, 42, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023 in his home. 

He was born on May 8, 1981 to the late Michael Martin and Debra Ann Stephenson in South Bend, IN, and has lived in New Carlisle, IN since 2021. 

Brian was currently employed at Navistar TPG in New Carlisle, IN, where he worked as a truck driver for the last two years.

He is survived by his five children: two daughters, Alexis Martin and Lillian Martin, both of New Carlisle, IN; three sons, Ethan Martin of Michigan City, IN; Nathaniel Martin and Kenyon Martin, both of New Carlisle, IN; one sister, Brandy Mattingly of Hillsboro, MO; and one brother, Glenn Kenfield of New Carlisle, IN.

Brian was planning on going back to school to study environmental science because he loved nature. His biggest dream was to retire and become a park ranger. He loved hiking and camping. He had a new hobby every week, such as leather working, fishing, video games, and nature. He just bought his first brand new car, a motorcycle, and a boat. He also loved to travel and was working on getting a passport. He loved cats. His kids were everything to him. The last few years of his life he had become the man he wanted to be.  Brian was an amazing father who wanted his kids to be better.  He learned from his past mistakes and wanted to pass down that knowledge.

Cremation will take place.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 -8 p.m. EST Sunday, September 24, 2023 at American Legion Post 297, 486 E. Michigan St., New Carlisle, IN  46552.
