Bonnie L. Shepherd

Bonnie L. Shepherd, 68, of New Carlisle, passed away at 6:54 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024 at Hamilton Grove in New Carlisle, IN, following an illness.

She was born on June 22, 1956 to the late Russell H. and Shirley J. (Parker) Shepherd in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident of New Carlisle, IN. 

Bonnie graduated in 1974 from New Prairie High School in New Carlisle.  She formerly worked part time as a cook at Longshots Bar and Grill in New Carlisle, IN. 

She is survived by her two loving brothers, William R. Shepherd and Todd H. Shepherd, both of New Carlisle, IN.

Bonnie enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, mostly with her longtime significant other, James Stayback, who preceded her in death on June 16, 2021.

Per Bonnie’s request, there will be no visitation or services.  A private burial will take place in New Carlisle Cemetery at a later date.
