Angela Paulette Ferro, 55, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, in Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation, after a brief battle with cancer. Angela was born on May 20, 1969 in South Bend to Bernard Joseph and Jacqueline Pauline (Nafradi) Ferro and was a lifelong resident as well as a lifelong Notre Dame fan. She had been employed as a cashier at Martin’s Super Market on Mayflower Road in South Bend, where she was very happy waiting on her regular customers. Angela received multiple customer service awards which lead to a 5 star award. She was very proud of this award. Angela is survived by her sister, Suzanne (Terry) Kazmierczak of Granger, Indiana; two brothers, Bernie (Lori) Ferro and Timothy Ferro both of South Bend, Indiana; and her three nieces, Stephanie (Matt) Sczepankiewicz of South Bend, Indiana, Michelle (Casey) Goodman of West Lafayette, Indiana and Catherine Kazmierczak of St. Louis, Missouri. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in Corpus Christi Church. A visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday in the church. Angela will be buried with her parents at Highland Cemetery at a later date. She was a 1987 graduate of St. Joseph High School. Angela was a longtime caregiver for her mother and father. After her parents’ deaths, she had a new outlook on life and began her job at Martin's.
