Amber R. Loy

Amber Loy, 33 passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Amber is loving remembered by her grandparents, Diane and Robert Schultz and Bill and Barbara Stafford; her parents, Troy Singleton and Charlotte Hensell; her mother-in-law Elizabeth Loy and father-in-law- Richard Loy, Sr.; her children’s father, Richard Loy; and her cherished children, RJ Loy and Arhianna Loy.  She is also survived by her siblings, Tristen (Sam) Singleton, Dawson Singleton, Keegan Singleton, Tyler Stafford, Annagrace Loy, Stephanie Pressler, and Erica Bishop.

Amber was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Kary DeVall.

A proud graduate of Penn High School, Amber pursed a career in hospitality with enthusiasm and dedication.  Most recently employed at Noku and previously serving many years as a manager at Navarre Hospitality, she found fulfillment in connecting with people and creating welcoming experiences for others. Her vibrant spirit showed through her love of cooking, astrology, animals and music-passions that brought joy to both herself and those around her.

Amber’s magnetic personality left an indelible mark on everyone she met.  Her warmth and kindness were boundless gifts that touched the lives of many.  She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her. “We love you so big.”

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.  A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
