Alan R. Hedstrom

Alan R. Hedstrom, 82, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, in the Raclin House.  Alan was born on August 18, 1943 in LaPorte, Indiana to Ralph and Eileen (Golder) Hedstrom.  He retired in 2008 as the owner of Pool Solution in St. Cloud, Florida.  On September 30, 1977 in the Bristol Street Missionary Church in Elkhart, Indiana he married Marla J. Hollar, who survives.  Alan is also survived by his daughter, Jodi DeFilippis of La Crosse, Wisconsin; two sons, Steve Hedstrom of Joliet, Illinois and Troy Hedstrom of Granger, Indiana; five grandchildren, Makayla Botheroyd, Amanda Hedstrom, Bailey Hedstrom, Cameron Hedstrom and Hannah Blackmer; and four great-grandchildren, Lainey Rae Botheroyd, Ellie Rose Botheroyd, Simon Joseph Hedstrom, and Margot Dasha Hedstrom.  A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026 in the Adamsville Road Church of God.  A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the church.  Alan enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, college football, especially the Florida Gators and the fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He loved spending time sailing on his boat and spending time with his kids and grandkids. In his spare time he would build cornhole boards.
