Sidney Jerome Lowe

Sidney J. Lowe, age 57, passed away peacefully on Thursday,December 27, 2018, at Memorial hospital in South Bend. He was born February 3, 1961 to Gale and Barbra lowe of Niles,Michigan. Sidney served in the army in the mid 80s. He work his whole life as a construction worker and just an overall handyman and his craftsmanship was loved by anyone who he did work for. Sidney was loved and admired by all he came in contact with while it be kids he fathered or the kids who lived in the neighborhood he was a father figure to all. Sidney was a man of few word but always stuck up for what was right. Sidney loved the simple pleasures in life whether it be hunting or fishing or kicking back with a glass of whiskey or black coffee. He is survived by his two daughters Carrie Lowe of Elkhart and Monica Lowe of South Bend and his two step children Krystal Martin of Niles and Christopher High of Edwardsburg and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Sidney touched are invited to the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.Bendix Dr., South Bend,IN 46628, from 11:00 a.m-1:00 p.m. on Thursday , January 03, 2019, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat. A military service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
