Sharron L. (Somerville) Zimmerman

Sharron L. Zimmerman, 54, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 9:07 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 in LaPorte Hospital, as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born on January 18, 1964 to Roy and Lauretta (Hendrickson) Somerville in Knox, IN, and has lived in South Bend since 1989, coming from North Judson, IN.

Sharron was employed as a Registered Nurse with Beacon Health System since 2005.  She found her true passion in nursing when she joined the Memorial Epworth Center and Hospital/Beacon Mental Health Facility.

On May 27, 1989, as Sharron L. Somerville, she married John A. Zimmerman in North Judson, IN.

Sharron is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, John A. Zimmerman of South Bend, IN; two sons, Nicholas Arthur Zimmerman of South Bend, IN; Michael Roy Zimmerman of South Bend, IN; her parents, Roy and Lauretta Somerville of North Judson, IN; mother-in-law, June Zimmerman of North Judson, IN; one sister, Susan (John) Brewer of Culver, IN; one brother, Brian Somerville of Indianapolis, IN; 10 nieces and nephews; and 13 great nieces and great nephews.

Sharron loved tending to her herb garden and flowers.  She was a breath of fresh air to everyone she encountered.  Sharron was always smiling, laughing, and always had a positive attitude, which was contagious to everyone she came across.

Funeral Services will take place at a later date.
