Rose C. VanLaecke

Rose C. VanLaecke, 99, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Thursday January 4, 2018 in her home. Rose was born on September 9, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Karoly and Gizella (Mezzei) Takacs. On June 13, 1942 she married Raymond C. VanLaecke who preceded her in death on August 20, 1988. Rose is survived by one daughter Rose Mary (Roger) Ebaugh of South Bend, Indiana; one son, Robert C. VanLaecke of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; two grandchildren, David T. (Heather) VanLaecke of Parker, Colorado, and Daniel R. VanLaecke of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; two great-grandchildren, Hunter R. and Raymond K. VanLaecke of Parker, Colorado; three Step-great- grandchildren Lauren, Brianna, and Robert all of Parker, Colorado; and one brother Carl (Joanne) Takacs of Pennsula, Ohio. Rose was also predeceased by two sisters, Irma and Ella Kazmierzak; one sister in law Rose Mary Takacs; and one granddaughter Jill Dominak VanLaecke. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church South Bend. Rose was a supervisor for many different manufacturing companies include Bendix, Adapto, H&H Aerospace, and Industrial Pkg. She would also do seasonal work for The United States Postal Service. She was a member of St. John the Baptist and Holy Family Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Rose to the donor’s choice.
