Patricia Maure Ragonesi was born on April 4, 1931 in South Bend, Indiana. She was lovingly adopted by our grandparents Francis and Wilford Davis, whom both precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by our father John J. Maure, second husband Joe Ragonesi, son-in-law Bradley A. Clark, and grandson Jonathon M. Maure. They were waiting for her soul, as dementia robbed her of her spirit.
Our mom was always ahead of her time. A working mother of five who tirelessly provided for her family, even when that meant working two jobs. By no stretch of the imagination was mom a “June Cleaver” because she was more than that. She taught us to fight for what was right. She showed us by example what strong work ethics, character, strength, and integrity was. She made us who we are today. If only she could have remembered us thanking her for raising us that way. She is survived by all of her five kids. Sons; Michael and Frank (Sue) Maure; daughters Fran Maure Clark, Cari Maure (Criss) Rickey, and her baby Tami Maure Thompson.
Patricia is also survived by her grandchildren; Shad, Sam, Angie, and Bradley “Birdie” Clark Jr., Nicole Maure, Olivia Thompson, Kaylee Valentine, Criss Jon Rickey, Sara Madewell, Cari Lyn Elmerick, and Jillian Maure. Great grandchildren; Ethan, Leah, Ariana, Jaden, Jossalyn, Jonah, Ryleigh, Braedyn, Brylee, Jenna, Conner, and Anabelle. As our mom was ascending to heaven, a new precious life was being born. Her great granddaughter Camile entered this world, completing her circle.
Private services will take place at a later date. She will be buried in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, California, next to our father. Memorial contributions may be directed to Pet Refuge. Kaniewski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. To send online condolences, please visit kaniewski.com.
Alzheimer's
Don’t ask me
to remember,
don’t try to make me
understand.
Let me rest and know
you’re with me.
Kiss my check
and hold my hand.
I’m confused beyond
your concept.
I am sad and sick
and lost.
All I know is that
I need you
to be with me
at all cost.
Do not lose your
patience with me.
Do not scold
or curse or cry.
I can’t help
the way I’m acting.
Can’t be different,
though I try.
Just remember that
I need you,
that the best
of me is gone.
Please don’t fail to
stand beside me!
Love me ‘til
my life is done.
