Millie R. Jones, 83, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation, Elkhart, Indiana.  She was born on April 25, 1933 in St. Joseph County, Indiana to Charley and Estella (Hoover) Sarber. Millie grew up in New Carlisle and graduated from New Carlisle High School.  She had been formerly employed as a bookkeeper with Hoffman Brothers Auto Parts.  Millie is survived by her three children, Gary (Valerie) Jones of Hemet, California, Gail (Gregory) Dhoore of South Bend, Indiana and Van (Kimberly) Jones of Osceola, Indiana; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; her sister Shirley King of Mishawaka, Indiana; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Sarber of Plymouth, Indiana.  She was preceded in death by three sisters, Maxine Harness, Vera Walker, and Joanne Ellen Sarber; and by her brother, John Sarber.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Millie was a member of American Business Womens Association. She loved her job at Hoffman Brothers and considered her coworkers a second family to her. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed drinking coffee and sitting on her front porch. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka and Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation for the loving care of Millie.
