Matthew Michael Flagg, 44, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, in his home.  Matthew was born on February 3, 1973 in LaPorte, Indiana to Michael and Suzanne (Wilson) Flagg.  He was currently employed with INDOT.  Matthew had also been a Math Teacher for New Prairie Middle School for fourteen years.  On August 30, 1997, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, he married Monica L. Wiltfong, who survives.  He also survived by his two daughters, Morgan and Lauren Flagg of New Carlisle, Indiana; his mother, Suzanne Flagg of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; and his brother, Jason Flagg of Mill Creek, Indiana. Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Michael Flagg.  Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. E.S.T. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in the North Liberty Church of Christ. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. E.S.T. Tuesday in the church. Matthew was a 1991 graduate of New Prairie High School, where he played football, basketball, baseball and tennis. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from  Bradley University. Matthew was a member of the North Liberty Church of Christ. He loved sports and was very active in coaching. He was also an umpire and referee.  Matthew was a Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, University  of  Notre Dame Football, and Indiana University Basketball fan. Contributions may be directed to the Morgan and Lauren Flagg Trust Fund at 1st Source Bank, New Carlisle, Indiana.
