Mary Louise (Pietrzak) Glon

Mary Louise (Pietrzak) Glon, 82, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018, in Memorial Hospital.  Mary was born on April 13, 1936 in Crumstown, Indiana to Alex and Gertrude (Chrobot) Pietrzak.  She retired after 39 years of employment as a Deputy Clerk with the St. Joseph County Clerk’s Office.  On October 14, 1961 in South Bend, she married Donald A. Glon, who preceded her in death on November 9, 1975.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Douglas Donald Glon on August 31, 2018.  Mary is survived by her daughter, Alison Mary (Glon) Abbott; her son-in-law, Richard W. Abbott; her pride and joy, granddaughter, Haylee Mary Grace Abbott; her darling “Pietrzak Four”, Alyssa Pietrzak, Andrew Pietrzak, Ben (Chyenne) Pietrzak and Brandee Pietrzak; her brother, James (Sally) Pietrzak; nephews, Timothy (Kathleen) Pietrzak and Thomas (Deanna) Pietrzak; great-nephews/great-niece, Jason Pietrzak, Kylee Pietrzak and Alex Pietrzak; and her great great-nephews/great great-niece, Braxton, Jillian, Braedyn and Dawson.

It has been a long hard road of life for you, but now you are at peace.  Losing so many that you have loved and being so strong has given us the courage to do the same.  May you polka through those pearly Gates with Doug, and waltz up there with Dad, with happiness, Grandma has you in her arms and is so happy to see you again.  All I ask is please do not forget me for I will never forget you.  Goodbye Mother, Grammy, sister, aunt and friend until we meet again.  The sun will not be as bright anymore or the night sky so pretty, but you will always live on in our hearts. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home Chapel, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.  A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where a prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m.
