Mary C. Jarze

Mary C. Jarze, 70, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday August 9, 2018 at Hospice House, South Bend.  She was born on February 24, 1948, in South Bend, to Casimer and Marjorie L. (Claeys) Kubiak.  On October 11, 1969, in Holy Family Catholic Church, she married Lawrence G. Jarze, who survives.  Also surviving are her children; Jennifer (James Scheetz) Gaul of South Bend and David Jarze of Indianapolis, IN and Kevin Jarze of South Bend; one grandchild, Jacob Gaul; her father, Casimer Kubiak; and two sisters, Susan and Donna Kubiak, both of South Bend.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie and a son-in-law, Eric Gaul.  Mary graduated from Washington High School in 1966.  Mary worked as a Librarian for St. Anthony de Padua Catholic School for 12 years, before retiring in 2000.  She loved being a grandma and babysat for many years for her grandson.  She loved to sew, scrapbook and shop.  Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday  August 14, 2018 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at noon at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 2114 E.
