Kathryn A. Galbreath

Kathryn A. Galbreath, 63, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Hospice House.  Kathryn was born on July 13, 1954 in South Bend, Indiana to Willard and Lucille (Johnson) Demien, and was a lifelong resident.  She was hard working factory worker who had been employed with the former KoKoKu on Walnut Street in South Bend.  On November 12, 1971 she married Gregory L. Galbreath, who survives.  She is also survived by three daughters, Tawna (Lucas) Todd of Goshen, Indiana, Christine (Craig) Ferrara of South Bend, Indiana and Hanna Galbreath of South Bend, Indiana; one son, Gregory “Ponch” Galbreath, Jr. of South Bend, Indiana; nine grandchildren;one great-granddaughter “on the way”; one sister, Mae Cole of South Bend, Indiana; and her father-in-law, Leon (Mary) Galbreath of Buchanan, Michigan.  Kathryn was preceded in death by her daughter, Joanne Galbreath; and her parents.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive.  A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.  Kathryn grew up a member of the Ardmore First Brethren Church.  She was currently a member of the South Bend First Brethren Church.  Kathryn was a huge Note Dame fan.  She loved her grandchildren.  Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
