Jerome "Jerry" W. Lekarczyk

Jerome "Jerry" W. Lekarczyk, 84, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in his home. Jerry was born on February 7, 1933, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Walter and Louise (Wcisel) Lekarczyk. On September 17, 1955, in St. Adalbert Church, he married Lorraine Novinich, who preceded him in death on December 20, 2015. Surviving are two sons, David (Michelle) Lekarczyk of Valparaiso, Indiana and Andrew (Cathy) Lekarczyk of South Bend, Indiana; five grandchildren, Erica, Crystal, Courtney, Lynlee, and Lacie; and seven great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Lekarczyk. Jerry enjoyed watching Notre Dame sports. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN. A memorial service will be held at noon in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Logan Center or Center for Hospice Care in Jerry’s honor.
