Jane N. Woltman, 91, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Sanctuary of Holy Cross, South Bend, IN.
She was born on January 14, 1926 to the late Vincent F. and Michalina (Kaczmarek) Wawrzyniak in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Stella Jankowski; Eleanor Kubasik; Sabina Borkowski; her two brothers, Lucian and Edwin Wawrzyniak; niece, Janice Wawrzyniak; nephews, William Pajakowski; James Jankowski; and Robert Kubasik.
Jane worked at I & M Electric for 30 years. She then was self-employed with her husband, Richard, for over 20 years with Woltman Tile Company.
On September 27, 1947, as Jane N. Wawrzyniak, she married Richard S. Woltman at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. He passed away on May 7, 2003.
Jane is survived by her sisters, Irene Pajakowski of South Bend, IN; Sister Louisa of Livonia, MI; and several nieces & nephews.
Jane was a member of St. Hedwig Parish; American Legion Post #357 Auxiliary; and the former Turner’s Bowling Club.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
