Idamae "Susie" Hamrick

Idamae ‘Susie’ Hamrick, age 79, returned to her heavenly home on July 16, 2017, surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted parents Jack and Hertha Sigwold.

Susie was fiercely devoted to her family. That great love and unwavering faith gave her the strength to carry on through the many challenges that came her way.

She was a beloved mother to Robann (Dan) Reichenbach, a cherished grandmother to Carrie Reichenbach, and a treasured sister to Sonja (Richard) Wood.

Susie was young at heart and never failed to brighten someone’s day with her ready smile. She loved sunshine and was a light to all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held for her on at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 930 Park Place, Mishawaka.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.  to  8:00 p.m. Wednesday,  July 19 , 2017, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.

Please refrain from wearing fragrance of any kind when attending as the family is very allergic to it.

Susie’s family wishes to express their profound gratitude to the staff of Hospice House of South Bend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Center for Hospice Care.
