Henrietta G. Scholz, 94, passed away at Center for Hospice Care, South Bend; on Monday, May 21, 2018 after a brief illness.
Born in South Bend on January 30, 1924, she was the daughter of Polish immigrants, Anna and Stanislaus Kroll.
Henrietta was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, South Bend, and believed strongly in her faith. She was very proud of her Polish heritage, and loved her family dearly; especially her grandchildren.
She loved Notre Dame football and basketball, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Henrietta graduated from South Bend Catholic High School in 1942. She retired from Studebaker Corporation in 1951 after ten years of service.
She is survived by five children, Christine of Fort Wayne; Catherine of South Bend; Connie of Greenwood; Carolyn of South Bend; and Kevin (Denise) of Fort Wayne. Henrietta is also survived by five grandchildren; Lauren (Phil) Bittner, Aaron Kitch, Jaclyn Kitch, Connor Scholz and Matthew Scholz; and many nieces and nephews.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis, of 51 years; seven brothers and sisters and son-in-law, Jim Klosowski.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 19704 Johnson Road, South Bend, with calling one hour prior. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation. Online condolences may be left www.kaniewski.com
