Harold D. Canady

Harold Dean Canady, 64, of Michigan City, Indiana passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 after a brief illness at Signature Health Care of South Bend, Indiana. Harold was born March 4, 1953 in Saint Joseph County, Indiana to the late Paul Dean and Opal Lovell (Reeves) Canady.

Harold attended Logan School in South Bend, IN., as well as Liberty Drive United Missionary Church in Mishawaka, IN. He then resided in Mountain View, AR. until moving to Michigan City, IN. There, he attended Michiana Resources in LaPorte County, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Dean and Opal Lovell (Reeves) Canady of Mountain View, AR., two sisters, Opal Pauline (Garold) Phillips- (Jim) MacQuire of Niles, MI., and Diana (Jim) Brown of Mountain View, AR., and one nephew, Charles Balmer.

Left to cherish Harold's memory are three sisters, Robbielea Balmer and her husband Carl of Osceola, IN., Patricia Kennedy-Stricklen and her husband Gary of Carson City, NV., and Kathy Canady of South Bend, IN., his nieces, Laura, Pamela, Ellen, Robbieann, Carlena, Cherilynn, Kristen, Heather, and Kayla, nephews, Carl, Brian and Dale, numerous grand nieces and nephews, his roommates and friends from the Earl Road Group Home, friends from Michiana Resources, Parents and Friends, and Paladin.

Harold was cremated, no services were held. Kaniewski Funeral Home of South Bend, Indiana was in charge of the arrangements. His cremains will be interred at Norricks Chapel Cemetery on Miesenhiemer Road, Mountain View, Arkansas at a future date.
