Geneva L. "Gen" Sones

 Geneva L. "Gen" Sones, 72, of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday February 7, 2018 at her home. She was born on August 7, 1945, in Detroit, MI, to the late Lewis and Delores (Harr) White. On December 30, 1977, as Geneva L. White Agorichas, she married Robert L. Sones, who survives. Also surviving is her son, Jim Agorichas of South Bend; a step-son, Robert Sones, Jr. of Shirley, AR; three step-daughters, Lee Ann Sones of Elkhart, IN, Susan (Joseph) Corrado of Malvern, PA and Mary Sones of Dayton, OH; three grandchildren, Mike and Stephen Pelton and Rachel Corrado; two sisters, Beverly (Wallace) Gayheart and Jackie (Tim) Kohn, both of Michigan City, IN; two brothers, Richard (Karen) White of Granger and Jeffrey Krause of South Bend; and by a brother-in-law, William Kraemer of Michigan City. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-father, Jack Krause and a sister, Pamela Kraemer. Mrs. Sones worked as a court reporter, before retiring in July 2010. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. James, the Vice President of Social Expressions, Inc., former President of the LaPorte County Therapy Center, former Treasurer of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary in Michigan City and was the human resources-Gen's Hallmark. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on February 16, 2018 at the Cathedral of St. James, South Bend.
