Florence Marie Jones

Florence M. Jones passed away on July 14, 2018 at her home in South Bend, Indiana. Florence was born on May 20, 1918 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Max and Mamie (Brecht) Schenzle. Florence graduated from Kensington High School in Philadelphia and worked at a number of jobs there until she was united in marriage with Eugene J. Jones, also of Philadelphia. In 1998 Florence moved from Philadelphia to South Bend, where she died in her home in the presence of her family on July 14, 2018. She is survived by her son E. Michael Jones and his wife Ruth Price Jones, their five children and their spouses, Adam and Anna Jones, Peter and Christina Jones, Michael and Rebecca Waggoner, Kael and Sarah Kanczuzewski, and Samuel and Courtney Jones, as well as her 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in South Bend, where a rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m.   There will also be a graveside memorial service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Philadelphia on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.. Kaniewski Funeral  Home is in charge of arrangements.
