Florence D. Wrobel, 97, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2018 in New Albany, Indiana. Florence was born on November 3, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George and Agatha (Sendra) Carney. She was preceded in death by her husband Al Wrobel, her daughter Linda Czartoryski and her three brothers: Stanley Rock, Frank Carney and Edward Carney. Florence is survived by two daughters: Diane (Stephen Strang) Wrobel of South Bend, Indiana and Joellen ”Joey” (Nigel) Hawman of Floyd's Knobs, Indiana; five grandchildren: Andrea Czartoryski, Adam Czartoryski, Justin Hair, Ashley Hair, and Arielle Hawman; and one great grandchild: Lukas Hair; and son-in-laws David Czartoryski and Nigel Hawman and his son Irvin Hawman.
Florence was a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary where she regularly volunteered, a member of Golden Cluster and Rosary Society at St. John the Baptist Church and she volunteered at the URC (United Religious Community) of South Bend. She will be missed.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 9, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church South Bend, Indiana at 11:00 am. A visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
