My first memories of Gene go back to the early 50's and the many days spent with my Dad, John Clark, Chink Parkhouse and several others, trumping through the snow covered fields and woods south of New Carlisle hunting wild fox. Gene served as my mentor in many aspects of that sport.
Sympathy goes out to the wonderful family he leaves behind, armed with great heritage to carry forward. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Gene's passing! My mother and father (Mary & Lee Miller of Hudson Lake) had been friends with Ann & Gene for many years -- along with Jo & George Shead. Although my father died in '65, Mom remained in communication until her move to Pennsylvania in early '90s to be near me. (I graduated with Larry in '77.) Most of them are gone now - Mom just passed 2-18-17 at 89. She also had a July birthday - the 4th - and we were looking forward to a big shabang. What a special era of people they were and what a good man Gene was! My deepest sympathy to his family.
