Dorothy passed away Friday, October 27, 2017, in Healthwin Specialized Care.  She was born to Frank and Catherine (Grzezinski) Jozwiak on February 28, 1920. Dorothy retired from Preston Trucking on Feburary 15, 1979, where she was employed for 20 years. On November 25, 1939 she married Stanley Pawlowski.  He died on May 18, 1991.  Also preceding were a sister Clementine Grontkowski, three brothers Ben, Thad, and Ernest Jozwiak.  Surviving are a daughter Patricia (James) Wituski, a son John (Laurie Ziolkowski) Pawlowski, three grandchildren Ronald (Nancy) Wituski of Springboro, Ohio, Deborah (Greg) Wituski-Strizek of Falls Church, Virginia, and Brian (Ashley) Pawlowski of South Bend, Indiana, and five great-grandchildren, Waverly Wituski, Whitney Wituski, Alexandra Strizek, Evan Pawlowski, and Chloe Pawlowski.  Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at  Kaniewski Funeral  Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive with a rosary by the St. Casimir Married Men at 6:00 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at  10:00 a.m. Thursday, November, 2, 2017 in St. Casimir Church.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Mrs. Pawlowski was the president of the Seniors Citizens Club at St. Casimir for 20 years and a member of the Altar Rosary Society of the parish. She was also a member of the Retiree Club of Local #364. She was a Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame fan all of her life.  The family wishes to thank Healthwin Specialized Care, the staff on West 1, and the staff in therapy.  Special thanks to the nurses on West 1, Judy, Mindy, Marylen, Kathy, and Dawn.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Healthwin Specialized Care or Heartland Hospice.
