A rare rose amongst us. Truly a giving spirit of herself. Very fond memories of growing up with Doris and Ivy on the Clover Leaf. The sleds on the hill; the mentorship in our very early years-4/H. The most true example of what we should all aspire to be in our lives and give our children. She had such an ease with life, anyone coming across her path was touched by her. Blessing of comfort go out to your family. Have the faith and the hope .

I was so sorry hear of Doris' passing. She was such a sweet lady. We talked at all church functions. I went to school with her daughter Gayle. I will miss her at the card party, chicken dinners and was looking forward to seeing her at the Christmas dinner at church. I am so blessed to have our paths meet. Prayers to the family. Please accept my condolences. May "the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.  For just as the sufferings for the Christ abound in us, so the comfort we receive through the Christ also abounds.

Doris was the sweetest lady and neighbor. My fondest memories are of her inviting us kids into her home for freshly baked cookies and hot cocoa after frozen sledding sessions on her hills. It was really a honor to have known her. She was so lovely, warm and welcoming.

Our entire family sends its condolences to the Truyaert family. What a kind, compassionate, hard working, family oriented woman Doris was. And forgiving and generous as we made some dumb mistakes as neighbors, especially the kids. She looked out for us and problem solved when we needed housing after cardiac bypass surgery when our power was out, or when our teen kid was stuck in a 5' snow bank on Primrose. We called Doris and she was the dispatcher. I am crying now as I remember 20 years ago this week she house sat as I went to Bernie's funeral. May God bless your family and give you peace.
