Chris D. Celichowski

Chris D. Celichowski, 60, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, in his home.  Chris was born on January 12, 1958 in South Bend to Norbert and Rita (Orlowski) Celichowski. He had resided in Michigan for the last 10 years and had recently moved back to South Bend.  He retired in November 2013 from the St. Joseph County Airport Authority, where he was employed as a Law Enforcement Officer and Fireman. Chris is survived by his son, Adam Celichowski of South Bend, Indiana; three granddaughters, Sasha, Jade, and Isabella; and two sisters, Anita Celichowski of South Bend, Indiana and Sylvia (Craig) Mathews of Mishawaka, Indiana.  Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Rita Celichowski; and by his brother Allen, who died as an infant. To honor Chris’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.  Chris was a 1976 graduate of Washington High School and a graduate of the Police Academy.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Chris was a Notre Dame, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and NASCAR fan.
