Charles V. Dawson

 Charles V. Dawson, 57, of New Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday in his home. He was born on February 1, 1961, in South Bend, to the late Kenneth and Bertha (Wetzel) Dawson. On July 9, 2001 he married Nora Lau Cowgill Dawson, who survives. Also surviving him is his ex wife Rebecca Bolinger, his sons, Christopher Dawson of Niles, MI, Joe Cowgill of South Bend and William (Lorie) Cowgill of New Carlisle; four grandchildren, Kamron Cowgill, Kaylin, Arianna and Christopher Dawson; and siblings, Kenneth (Toni) Dawson of FL, Cindy Dawson of South Bend, Robert (Cindy) Dawson of MI and John (Wanda) Kendziorski of South Bend; four nieces and nephews, Stephen, Scott, Kendra and Robby, many extended family and his little buddy, Nolan. Charles worked as a Tile Setter for Miles Systems, Inc. He worked various jobs 15 years at Total Industries, South Bend. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and NHRA Racing after years of racing at the South Bend Motor Speedway. He also loved fishing and tinkering with mowers. He had a way with wild animals and all children loved him. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. EST Saturday September 22, 2018 at New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle, IN.
