Kenneth Kaniewski
Ken is a lifelong resident of South Bend. He is a 1957 graduate
of St. Joseph's High School and a 1960 graduate of Indiana College
of Morturary Science. He has been a licensed Funeral Director and
Embalmer for 45 years. Ken has served on numerous community
organizations. He enjoys traveling and attending sporting events.
Ken has three children Kim Marie, Greg and Debbie. He also has five
grandchildren, Tommy, Danny, Tate, Makenna and Braden.

Robert Kaniewski

Bob is a lifelong resident of South Bend. He is a 1959 graduate of
St. Joseph's High School and a 1960 graduate of Indiana College of
Mortuary Science. He has been a licensed funeral director for 44
years, and also served his country in the Army Reserves for six
years. Bob is a member of Sacred Heart Parish and has served on
numerous community organizations. He enjoys spending time with his
family, golfing, Notre Dame football, and the outdoors. Bob has
been married to his lovely wife, Patty for 48 years and they five
children, Mike, Fran, T.K., Angie and Jeff. Bob and Patty also
have 7 grandchildren, Timmy, Alex, Mitchell, Paige, Hannah,
Jack and Katelyn. |

Michael Kaniewski

Mike is a lifelong resident of South Bend. He graduated from St.
Joseph's High School. He attended Holy Cross College, Indiana
University, and graduated from Worsham College in 1986. He is an
Indiana licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Life Insurance
Agent. Mike is a member of a number of professional organizations,
including the National Funeral Directors Association. He has been
married to his wife Jill for 22 years and has two children, Timothy
and Alex.

Greg graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1983. He then
attended Holy Cross College for two years, before transferring to
Arizona State University, where he recieved a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Business in 1988. He then graduated from Worsham College
of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL in 1993. Greg is a licensed
Funeral Director, Embalmer and Indiana Life Insurance Agent. He is
a member of Corpus Christi Parish; Knights of Columbus Council No.
5570; The Achievement Forum; and a former member of the South Bend
Kiwanis Club. Greg enjoys golfing, attending sporting
events,traveling, and spending time with his family. Greg and his
wife Julie have three children, Tate, Makenna and Braden.

Jeffrey Kaniewski

Jeff graduated from New Prairie High School in 1995. He attended
Holy Cross College and Worsham College of Mortuary Science,
Wheeling, IL, receiving an Associates degree from Worsham in 2000.
Jeff is a licensed Funeral Director and Indiana Life Insurance
Agent. He has been in the family business for ten years. Jeff has
two daughters, Hannah, Katelyn, and a son Jack. He enjoys
music, sports and the outdoors. Jeff is an avid golfer, Chicago
White Sox baseball, Indianapolis Colts and Notre Dame football
fan.

Frank Keszei

Frank Keszei, pronounced (Kay's eye), is a lifelong resident of
South Bend. He graduated from Mid-America College, Jeffersonville,
Indiana in 1983 as salutatorian of his class where he received a
BS, Bachelor of Science degree. He also attended Indiana State
University, Terre Haute; Holy Cross College, Notre Dame; and
graduated in 1978 from Riley High School.
Frank is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and a Life
Insurance Agent. He has been serving the Michiana community for 31
years and has been a Director with the Kaniewski Family since 1989
and was honored as being the first Funeral Director to be hired
outside the family, since 1919. From 1978-1989 Frank was a director
with the former Forest G. Hay Funeral Home.
Frank and his wife Susan have three children and are members of
St. Matthew Cathedral. Frank's wife, Sue, was a senior analyst and
programmer with the former Associates Corporation of North America.
She is now teaching at Jackson Intermediate School in South Bend
after recently pursing her primary education degree.
Frank also served as president of the School Board at St. Matthew
Cathedral School and is a member of several professional
organizations, including the National Funeral Directors
Association, the Indiana Funeral Directors Association, and the
Northern Indiana Funeral Directors Association, where he served as
President. Frank is also involved with several charitable causes in
the community.

Angela Kaniewski

Angie graduated from St. Joseph's High School. She
attended Holy Cross College, Notre Dame, IN for two years, before
transferring to Ball State University. Angie is the corporate
secretary and handles all administrative responsibilities. She
enjoys fine dining and a good glass of wine. She is also a
passionate U2 fan and enjoys watching Notre Dame and Chicago Bears
football.

Sherry is our funeral prearrangement counselor. She takes great
pride in seeing that all details of advance funeral arrangements
are thought through and recorded. Knowing she is making a
difference for the families at the time of a death is a big
motivator for her.
Sherry grew up near Lafayette Indiana. She graduated from Purdue
University in 1982. She is married and has two children. She loves
gardening, photography, reading, spending time with her family, and
is very active in her church. She has been with the Kaniewski
family since 1996.

Joan is a South Bend native and graduated from Washington High
School. She also attended Indiana University, South Bend, Holy
Cross College, and is an active member of St. Adalbert Parish. |

Jan has been married to her husband Gerald for 52 years.
She has four children; 3 boys and 1 girl; 5 grandchildren and 2
great-grandchildren. She has been employed with
Kaniewski Funeral Home for 6 years.

Funeral Director Assistant
Sandy is a lifelong resident of New Carlisle. She is a
graduate of New Prairie High School and attended Ball State
University to become an Activity Director in Long Term Care.
Sandy is involved with numerous community organizations. She
has worked in Long Term Care for 32 years. Sandy enjoys
gardening, fishing, cooking for large groups and spending time with
her family. Sandy has been with Kaniewski's since 2001.

Mary Lou has been married to her husband Rick for 42
years. She has two sons. Mary Lou is a member St. Stanislaus
Parish. She has been employed with the funeral home for 11
years.

Funeral Director Assistant
Fran has been married to her husband John for 20
years. She has two children. Fran and John are members of Corpus
Christi Parish. Fran has been employed with the funeral home for 25
years.

Nancy has three children. She retired from St. Joseph
Regional Medical Center. She has been empolyed with the funeral
home for 11 years. Nancy is also currently employed with the
University of Notre Dame.

Gene Mikolajewski
Funeral Director Assistant
Gene is a lifelong resident of South Bend, IN. He
graduated from Indiana University with an A.B. Degree, and
graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a M.A. Degree.
Gene also completed many in-service management and training
seminars throughout his career. In 2007, Gene was recognized as
being a Certified Facilities Executive for the International
Association of Assembly Managers. In 1995, he retired from the
South Bend Police Department, after 22 years of service and being
named Police Officer of the Year. Gene was then named as one of the
Directors at Century Center Convention Center, and held that
position for 13 years. Also from 1988 to the present time, Gene is
the Owner and President of Mikolajewski & Associates, Inc., a
private licensed security company in Indiana and Michigan.
Gene has also been a part of the Kaniewski Funeral
Home Staff for over 30 years in conjunction with his other
career positions. In addition, he has been involved in many
community organizations, committees and projects. Gene also plays
the trumpet, and has been a musician for several local music groups
for over 30 years. Today, Gene still enjoys traveling, sports and
attending various music entertainment events. Gene has 2 grown
children, Bryan and Leslie.

Bill Gaideski

Bill has been married to his beautiful wife, Marilyn
for 50 years. They have 4 children, 12 grandchildren, and
2 great-grandchildren. Bill attended the University of Notre
Dame and Lewis University. He is a member of St. Mark Parish in
Niles, Michigan.

John is a Certified Public Accountant. He is also the
Chief Financial Officer for the funeral home. He has been married
to his wife Fran for 20 years, and has two children. John is a
member of Corpus Christi Parish and is the Grand Knight for the
Knights of Columbus Council #5570.

Marci Pynaert
Prearrangement Office Assistant
Marci lived in South Bend from 1951-1983 with her family of 7
children. She moved to Orlando FL in 1983 and was employed as
a Convention Services Manager at a hotel in Orlando.
Upon her retirement from her position in 2005 she returned to South
Bend at which time she became employed at Kaniewski Funeral
Home and works in the pre-arrangement
department. She is a member of Holy Cross Parish,
South Bend and is active in many ministries at her parish.

Jim Wituski

Jim has been married to his wife Pat for 48 years.
They have 2 children, Ronald and Deborah; and 3 granddaughters,
Waverly, Whitney, and Alexandra. Jim retired from NIPSCO after 36
years of service and has been working at the funeral home since
then. When time permits he travels to visit his children and
grandchildren in Ohio and Washington D.C. He enjoys being part of
the Kaniewski staff and all the new friends he has made.

Pat is a lifelong resident of South Bend. He has been
employed with the funeral home for over 30 years. He is an
accomplished organist and musician. Pat is the funeral home
organist and also assists during funerals. He has one son, Jacob
and is a member of St. Stanislaus Parish in South Bend.

Jenny and her husband Scott have been married 15 years
and have three children. She is an active member of Holy
Family Parish. She loves scrapbooking, gardening, and
spending time with her family.
