Kathleen A. "Kathy" Noland

Kathleen A. “Kathy” Noland, 66, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at  12:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in her home.  Kathy was born on November 8, 1957 in South Bend, Indiana to Ralph and Marlene (Buczynski) Rakowski, who both preceded her in death.  On October 25, 1998 Kathy  married Corey D. Noland at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Kathy is also survived by her son, Alexander Noland of South Bend, Indiana; her daughter, Emily (Patrick) Lillis of West Lafayette, Indiana; one grandson, Paxton Lillis; her sister, Karen (Don) Stoner of Mattawan, Michigan, her brother, Mike (Patti) Rakowski of Niles, Michigan; 3 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 great-nephews, and her cats.  Kathy retired from Mishawka High School where she was employed as a teacher for 16 years. She took great pride in her relationships with her students and truly loved them all. Kathy was known for being a good time anywhere she and her cup of diet coke were at. She was especially fond of her “happy place” on Sanibel Island. From visiting with her parents to taking her own her kids it was a yearly tradition she looked forward to. A Celebration of Kathy’s Life Service will take place at a later date. Memorial Contributions should be directed to Pet Refuge or Sandibel Island’s Relief Fund.
