William J. Jaroszewski, 81, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018. He was born on August 27, 1936 in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Edwin A. and Mary A. (Wierzycki) Jaroszewski. William was a lifelong resident of South Bend, and a veteran of the United States Army. William worked as a broadcast engineer for WSJV TV for many years. He is survived by his sister, Carol A. Brown of Osceola, Indiana; his brother, Edwin Jaroszewski of South Bend, Indiana; seven nieces and nephews: Susan (Jeff) Robinson, Janine (Troy) DeShone, Duane “Butch” Brown, Debbie Duncan, Eric (Tina) Brown, Amanda (Dan) Kalmar and Sara (Mark) Million; fourteen great-nieces and nephews; and five great- great-nieces and nephews. William was a graduate of St. Stanislaus Grade School and South Bend Central High School, Class of 1953. He was an avid railroad buff, and a member of the St. Joseph County Railroad Club. He enjoyed collecting classical music and movies. In his retirement years, William volunteered at WSND FM. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1050 Wilber St., South Bend, Indiana. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
