Teresa A. "Terri" Vega

Teresa A. "Terri" Vega, 54, of LaPorte, passed away Wednesday September 5, 2018 at IU Health University Hospital Indianapolis.  She was born on December 23, 1963, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Alfred S. and Ethel A. (Timper) Drew.  She is survived by her daughter, Samantha (Greg Jr.) Greenwood of LaPorte; four grandchildren, Mason, Gregory III, Adrienne and Lacey; a sister, Sharon Hrezo of Dallas, GA and two brothers, Gregory (Kathy) Drew of Reynoldsburg, OH and Philip (Lori) Drew of Lafayette, IN.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katie Babbs and a brother-in-law, Raymond Hrezo.  She graduated from IUSB with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2007. Terri worked as a substitute teacher for LaPorte and Michigan City Schools.  She ran The Spiritual Earth out of LaPorte and her mission was "To promote a deep love and respect of the Earth and her inhabitants by healing one's spirit."  She loved gardening, crafting, sewing, animals, spending time with her family, and being in nature. Terri had a beautiful soul and raised many children as her own. Terri had numerous family members and friends that she deeply loved.  A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Eastern Tuesday September 11, 2018 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
