Ruby A. Rauschenbach

Ruby A. Rauschenbach, 90, of New Carlisle, passed away on Friday November 3, 2017 at IU Health LaPorte Hospital. She was born on August 21, 1927, in LaPorte, to the late Clarence and Verna (Bartell) Shultz. On September 21, 1957 she married Thomas T. Rauschenbach, who preceded her in death on April 11, 2006. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty O'Haver. Ruby is survived by her cousin, Herbert (Arlene) Shultz of Fort Myers, FL and as she lovingly referred to her, nephew, Kenny (Pamela) Shultz of Miller Beach, IN. She was the co-owner of the Jewel Box in New Carlisle along with her husband, Tom, from 1958 to the late 1980's. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka, Terre Coupee, where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a member of the over 50 Club in New Carlisle, where she had many friends. She loved the town of New Carlisle and its people and was very active in community events and organizations. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday November 10, 2017 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, LaPorte.
