Pamela R. Young

Pamela R. Young, 62, of South Bend, IN, passed away unexpectedly at 10:15 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN.

She was born on June 25, 1955 to the late Robert R. and Martha (Leonard) Young in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident.  Along with her parents; she was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert L. Young; and two sisters, Loretta Rohrer and Rebecca Lambert.  

Pam was employed with Logan Industries, where she worked as an Assembler, since 1974.

Pam is survived by her fiancée, Herb Schultz of South Bend, IN; two brothers, Rocky (Ruthanne) Young of Texas; David (Danette) Young of South Bend, IN; a niece whom she lived with, Marti Jensen of South Bend, IN; and several other nieces & nephews.

Pam was always a very caring and happy person and was a joy to be around.  She loved to watch movies, especially musicals.  Pam absolutely loved the holidays, always counting the days until the next one, excited to spend time with her friends and family.  Pam was truly one of God’s angels here on earth. 

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2018 and from 12 p.m. -1 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN, with Rev. Donald Bayne, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
